Solutions to Galois Theory by Tom Leinster

A great resource (at least that I found), on Galois Theory are the series of lecture notes by Tom Leinster, which can be found on his website here.

I surprisingly could not find any solutions to the exercises dispersed throughout the notes, and decided I would just publish mines online, while working through them.

Solutions Repo: https://github.com/l4fl4m3/Galois-Theory-Leinster

The repo contains the entire TeX package, with solutions available via the solutions.pdf file within the repo.

This is a work in progress, and a few answers may be missing or incomplete due to my inability to come up with an answer. As of the publishing of this post, questions from Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 have been answered. I will edit this post as each new chapter is completed.

Update 2022/11/13: Solutions to Chapter 6 now added.

Update 2022/11/23: Solutions to Chapter 7,8, and 9 now added.

Update 2022/11/29: All chapters are now finished. There are a few questions not answered from chapters here and there, however I can’t be bothered to go back to them atm. Struggled (motivationally) to finish the the last few pages, with other things going on, but I dragged through. I would highly suggest going through these notes for anyone interested in poking into Galois Theory. All credit to Prof. Tom Leinster for a delightful set of notes!
